The package on the doorstep

A package on the doorstep can be theatre, or it can be a garment in a brown box. We chose the second.

A package on the doorstep can be theatre, or it can be a garment in a brown box. We chose the second.

The unboxing-as-marketing-moment trend convinced an entire industry that the customer wanted a layered ritual at the door — branded tissue, satin ribbon, foil stickers, leaflets explaining the brand's values, a poly bag that had to be thrown out. We disagree about what the customer wants.

What arrives is a brown card box, sealed with paper tape, with a small WRTH stamp on the lid. Inside, the garment, folded, in one sheet of unbleached tissue. One small printed card. That is everything in the parcel.

The garment is the gift. The box is just the way it got to you.
