The things we won't do

A brand is partly defined by what it refuses to do. Here are three refusals that built ours.

A brand is partly defined by what it refuses to do. Ours refuses to put anything on sale, ever. Ours refuses to bring back a closed drop. Ours refuses to ship next-day.

Most brands' refusals are private. Ours are public, because the refusals are part of the product. You buy a WRTH garment knowing it will not be cheaper next month, the design you ordered will not return, and the parcel will arrive about two weeks after you click order.

That is the deal. The refusals are not inconveniences we apologise for. They are the brand. If we ever break one, we have become a different brand.

The full piece on each is on the journal — Wednesday's cornerstone goes deep on what these three rules mean.
