A heavyweight cotton hoodie is a winter object. It belongs to the four months when the kettle goes on at four, the lamps come on early, and the rain on the window is the only thing happening in the room.
We could make a lighter range for the warm months. We don't want to. The garments we are interested in are the ones a person reaches for when the cold comes back, the ones they pull on without thinking, the ones that have lived in the wardrobe through a summer they were not invited to. Some clothes are summer clothes. Ours are not.
The launch is in September because September is when you start to notice. Be ready by October. Wear it through to March. Put it back in the wardrobe for April through August. Pull it out again at the next October. That is the cycle the brand is built for.
